Glenn,

It is possible that officers of any company are barred from trading in the 30 days preceding quarter end. Does anyone know about that ?

Glenn,

A year ago, I was reading the LSI thread. One day when the whole market was up, LSI was dropping from 25 to 21 on heavy volume. Nobody knew why. The company's forecasts had been optimistic at a conference that week. All looked rosy. Next day the company issued a warning related to writeoffs for an acquisition. The slide resumed to 15.

I don't know why amzn is down today. I wonder if it is related to msft acquiring a shopping service for its web site. I really have no idea. Maybe it is a setup to kill the shorts, again.
