Michael, OT: I really enjoy your posts! And I will send you my email for spices--organically grown--I eat mostly organic when I can What's the gold thread? Your characterization of this medium is accurate, and yet it leaves something out--there was a post by Uncle Frank over on the Dell thread--a bunch of Dellheads from SI got together for a S.F. dinner--some of them he'd already gotten to know a bit by phone--he found them consistent with their posts, as if some essence of the person comes through. Oddly enough, the emotions seem more intense in this medium, I think maybe there aren't the usual checks and balances--all that we read in body language and tone, and the basic back and forth of a dialogue (this is more like time delayed dialogue, or adjacent monologues). But it is fascinating, isn't it?
