CNBC is about to do the story. Joe Kernen, says. Can't hurt us! Yeah. He says Phillips is going to the shareholders with the offer, points out that the stock was a 40 stock not that long ago and is now trading at over 18. Phillips says due to the compelling nature of the offer, they don't want to wait and are requesting that VLSI kill its poison pill and will try to oust the board if necessary. I, for one stockholder, wouldn't accept their 17 offer but will be happy to consider 25. Linda
