Dow up 104pts. Not one of the other stocks on your list down even close to the almost 10% WCTI is down. Down to 12 and change from 36 just weeks ago! Done,done,done,done..done,done,done,done,done,done,done.....(sung to the tune of a death march):)

REAL NEWS FOR A CHANGE....
Yes, I know that it is unusual to actual get some FACTS here, but I just had a great conversation with Ken Bell. There are some things that he asked me not to post, and I will respect that request (it's good news, but this is not the right channel to mention it). Also, it looks like I will get a chance to meet him face to face on Monday in SF. Anyway, here is at a high level what I can share:

1. PERSONAL IMPRESSION:
I chatted with Ken for around 15 minutes on the phone. I found Ken to be professional, open, and thoroughly on the level. He understandably has a somewhat dubious view of the discussions that take place in the message boards (I mentioned that I post there often), and frankly I tend to agree with him based on what I have seen from the shorts, but he still was very cordial and enjoyable to converse with. My sense was that this was an honest guy who is really serious about building a company with significant net worth for its investors. At no time did I get the sense that he was hiding anything or that this was just a pump and dump operation.

2. EMPLOYEE GROWTH:
WCTI is going through an incredible growth spurt right now. They are hiring the right people and getting them up to speed. I work for a software startup, so I know that this is a huge effort and that it can initially slow a company down in the near term. However, that fact that there is an agressive hiring program in place indicates that these guys intend on becoming serious players in the future.

3. PRODUCT:
The GA product will have much more content and a better look and feel than the Beta. However, the paradigm will remain the same, in that you will get a table of contents that you drill down into to get at the exact information you are looking for. One of the big enhancements that can be expected is a more logical grouping of topics. Right now, as you know if you use the Beta, you get a massive list of periodicals where your information is found. The WCTI is working on a way to present that information in a much more useable fashion.

4. PR CAMPAIGN:
Ken confirmed that the GA is planned for release in time for Internet World (sometime in mid-April...Anyone know the exact date?). A PR campaign, per my previous post in my conversation with Kevin at Columbia, will precede this event. I didn't get into the specifics of the campaign (i.e. local vs. national), since he is the CFO and not the Marketing VP.

5. UPDATE TO NEWS:
Check the Wordcruncher Web Site in the next few days. They will be posting some good stuff there. Much of the stuff I don't want to mention now will be presented in the new updates.

6. GOOD STUFF TO COME:
Here is where I really cannot be specific (I expect the shorts to be all over me on this one), but expect good things in April in terms of product and business relationships.

In summary, no one knows what the stock price is going to do over the next few months. What I DO know is that the WCTI management team is doing all the right things to build a solid company. Hopefully, that effort and the results will be reflected in the stock price and we will be back on track.

To hell with the $$$, I just want to take this thread back from the shorts!!! :-)
