Checkfree Holdings (NASDAQ:CKFR - news) , an electronic bill processing company, is down another $3.50 to $31.66 per share today and has now lost 21% of its value in the past two days. The selling stems from a lawsuit filed by Intuit (NASDAQ:INTU - news) , which owns 19.9%, claiming that Checkfree is in violation of its 1998 contract. The contact called for Checkfree to support Intuit's web-based bill presentment products exclusively and not to offer products of its own in certain channels. Terrie O'Hanlon, a Checkfree spokesperson, says, 'we have a long-term agreement with Intuit, but in a fast-paced emerging market it is hard to anticipate all scenarios and differences of opinion can arise.' Shares of Intuit, the maker of financial software such as Quicken, are up $3 to $91.
