SB- Who said anything about "short term"?..This is a big deal...that is pretty hard to deny...

I think you are missing the larger point here..Dell is making a bigger step towards IBM here..and IBM towards Dell......Dell IS leveraging off of IBM R&D and as a result, will be able to make more competitive products (notebooks), and enter new markets (servers, storage)..until this agreement, Dell options were limited...Dell's options are now much bigger...and potentially much, much bigger in two big future growth areas (storage, servers)

You seem to easily discount a critical component of Dell's model (supply technology share agreements) which are absolutely vital to maintain Dell's growth...It is obvious that corporate PC sales are not going to grow 50% revenues/earnings in the future...

My comments stand about CNBC's unbalanced reporting...
