Hi Everyone: Just got back from a mini vacation - hope everyone is fine. Continued good news for RMBS. Great rally today. Was everyone impressed? I wasn't regarding the tech sector. Financials and oils were a major factor in the Dow's rise today. The techs could definitely rally some more from here based on the deals announced today. Obviously, a very strong report tomorrow will put a lid on any sustained rally. There is serious talk that mortgage rates will go over 8% in the next couple of months or even sooner. That will definitely dampen the market's rise and could bring about a very nasty correction which would enable buying opportunities at much lower levels across the tech sector. If that is the case, we will see RMBS test its recent lows or maybe go even lower. I personally believe that commodities are in a bottoming phase right now and will rise dramatically on a percentage basis from these current levels, especially by mid-year. So even though we may see a rally in the tech sector for the next week or so if tomorrow's report is not that strong, I believe that one should be very cautious in here and that we will see much better buying opportunities down the road sooner than we think. I have been trimming my tech positions into the rallies and will continue to do so. I'm not exiting, just trimming and going into much more cash. I've also been placing more bets on large-cap biotechs. Good luck to everyone and hope everyone is healthy and dong well. jmanvegas
