Jenna, have you been watching CRNC ($1 1/4 x $1 11/32).

Pretty big news release yesterday (after conference call Tuesday PM).
Here's the Yahoo release: biz.yahoo.com

Additional info on their web site: chronicleinc.com.

Stock ran to $3 5/16 on the news yesterday, then profit taking hit yesterday and today taking it down to $1 3/16. Starting to pick back up now. A lot of people were in under a buck, so the profit taking was understandable, just a bit overdone (which is typical in today's market).

In a nutshell, they announced letter of intents to acquire three companies which will bring consolidated revenues of $77 million and fully diluted eps of $1.11/share. More acquisitions (at least 3 more companies) are expected to be announced within the next few weeks. Company plans on closing the announced deals within 4 to 6 weeks (prior acquisitions in 1998 were all closed within this time frame).

Company is fully reporting.

P.S. I'm right there with you on EBAY. I bought EBAY at $28, sold at $50 (quite happy with myself at the time), and then suggested that it might be a good short candidate because it was way overvalued. Thank goodness I'm too chicken to short stocks.
