I feel VLSI is significantly undervalued here. I held it at 36, thinking it was worth more than 36, so I surely wouldn't bail at 25. During the years I've held it I have taken profits when the stock was high, so I did pull out some money and also put money back when it was cheaper. Still, I was buying in the mid-20's not that long ago, so I am not quick to sell there. All that said, reality is that the stock has been trading really low, a lot of people will be happy to get 25 for it right now and I think a deal at 25 will have a great chance of being accepted.

We are trading higher than 17 becuase of the Phillips offer and the fact we feel there will be a bidding war and that the deal will have to go higher. If Phillips withdrew it is possible the stock price would drop down below 15 again, as Dan Z said recently. We do have to keep in mind that we are trading at a risk here.

Still, the Phillips company is very serious and I do not think they will go away easily. So I think they will have to offer more than 17, in the end. I wish they would do that now!
