If you compare the Nasdaq with the Dow or S&P 100 over a 10 year period instead of 5 years, the Nasdaq's outperformance over time is consistent and striking.

It's interesting to see that over the past 5 years the Nasdaq really outperformed only in the past 6 months. Perhaps the Nasdaq is reverting to its normal trend after a five year period that saw excessive valuations develop in non-Nasdaq stocks like Coke.

I'd like to see the Nasdaq Tech stocks come down 50% so I could buy in at a good price, but this may not fit the long term picture.
