Historical Perspective

Raptor Capital Corporation (Raptor) was incorporated in Alberta in 1987 as a Junior Capital Pool Corporation on the Alberta Stock Exchange ASE. Raptor's Business is oil and gas exploration and development. The company currently owns properties in Alberta and British Columbia and has significant International prospects. In July 1996 a group of investors led by Norman Mackenzie acquired control of the Corporation.

Norman Mackenzie, Chairman and Director

Mr. Mackenzie has over 25 years experience in the domestic and international energy industry. He has held many Senior Corporate positions including; President of Sunningdale Oils (Abu Dhabi) Ltd.; President of Scarboro Resources Limited; Chairman of Braco Resources Ltd. and co-chairman of Scimitar Hydrocarbons Corp.

Mr. Mackenzie is also President of Normac Investments Inc., a private family run, energy investment company. Mr. Mackenzie's many years of broad experience bring an invaluable international energy perspective and investment insight.

Ian McMurtrie, B.Sc. (Hon.), President and Director

Mr. McMurtrie graduated from Queen's University with an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology in 1970 and has over 26 years of extensive experience in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Mr. McMurtrie has been directly involved in the exploration and development of numerous oil and gas pools in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, for both public and private oil companies. For the past six years Mr. McMurtrie has concentrated the majority of his activities on behalf of United Rayore Gas Ltd. in the exploration of older oil pools in south-eastern Saskatchewan where productivity was significantly increased through the utilization of horizontal drilling technology. Mr. McMurtrie has been involved in the drilling of over 75 horizontal wells in Western Canada and the USA.

Mr. McMurtrie served as the President and COO of Czar Energy for six years, a mid sized Calgary based oil and gas producer.

Angus A. Mackenzie, Director
Mr. Mackenzie has over forty years experience in the international energy industry. Mr. Mackenzie was founder and Chairman of Syracuse Oils Limited, Sunningdale Oils Limited, Sceptre Resources Limited, Scarboro Resources Ltd. and is currently a Director of Scimitar Hydrocarbons Corporation and Kappa Energy Ltd. both ASE companies.

Mr. Mackenzie is the Chairman of Scimitar Oils Limited. Companies that Mr. Mackenzie founded have participated in the discovery and development of over 1 billion barrels of oil and several trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
Milt Erickson, C.A. , Vice President of Finance and Director

Mr. Erickson graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1965, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Thereafter he earned his Chartered Accountant designation, having articled and commenced his public practice with Thorne Riddell. Thereafter he served for six years in the capacity of Vice President of Finance for Ocelot Industries LTD., a major oil and gas production, service and chemical company. He served as Chief Financial Officer of CMP Resources Ltd. a resource capital company administering equity management by way of tax equity issues, and oil and gas drilling funds, both for domestic and foreign interests. He joined United Rayore Gas Ltd. in 1991 as the Vice President of Finance and continued in that position until early in 1997 when it was taken over by a larger Calgary based oil and gas producer.

Mr. Erickson brings a valuable background in reservoir evaluation, financial accounting and energy based financial management.

Doug Reynolds, P.Land, Land Manager

Mr. Reynolds graduated from the University of Calgary in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Political Science. He has approximately 20 years of extensive mineral and surface land experience across North America. Mr. Reynolds brings a wealth of experience to Raptor in the area of land negotiations and strategies. Prior to his association with Raptor, Mr. Reynolds was directly responsible for coordinating the land strategies for several public companies including Norcen Energy Resources Limited, ICG Resources Ltd. and ELAN Energy Inc. His most recent tenure was Land Manager of ELAN Energy Inc. for over 10 years. With the take over of ELAN by Ranger Oil Limited in October of 1997, Mr. Reynolds formed and is President of his own very successful private land consulting company known as Rembrandt Land Consulting Services Ltd.
