I doubt that Centenial is responsible for the shorts. Here's an interesting clause from the agreement.

"Centennial has agreed that it will not maintain a short position with respect to the common stock which is greater than the number of shares most recently sold, or to be sold following a written notice to sell, to Centennial under the equity line of credit agreement."

I suspect that Castle Creek is the source of the shorts.
