I'm unsure if you have all seen this planetclick.com but if not it makes good reading. Some new stuff: 1. Tender offer will expire April 1. 2. Poison pill can be activated if any one organization acquires 20% or more. 3. Federal rules require VLSI to answer Philips in 10 working days. Means they will have to respond to Philips by March 18 - before the BOD meeting on March 23. Regarding the article posted on the Yahoo board whose link I reproduced in an earlier note, I can't find it on the Bloomberg site, and since the person that posted the article didn't post a link, I have no way at this time to verify it (If the article is real, and if it is correct in stating that the hostile offer will be at $22 per share, then loading up on every share under 22 and every option whose aggregate strike and option price is less than 22 is a no brainer. If somebody else can confirm, it might help...
