I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I don't see the link between a whizzed off intuit and the billserve agreement. Seems like kinda another edocs in Cfs' Biller Alliance Program.

CF is racking up the billers much faster than TP. "At the end of the day" as PK likes to put it, the race is for the billers. The issue today is how fast mass distribution will available to them. This is what is important today and tomorrow. There is no way PK is going to go to his biller sales force and tell them to tell the billers that his UNRESTRICTED distribution network won't be available until OCT. of 2000. No way.

I don't think it has anything to do with Billserv...the complaint was about distribution channels, not distributors...

CheckFree is a Distribution channel for BillServ. A portal Like Yahoo! is a Distribution Channel for CheckFree....So if Yahoo is OK where is the problem?

Where Intuit & CheckFree would bump heads.....

Where could the two bump heads, or step on each other? Not with Yahoo!, Lycos or InfoSeek...Intuit isn't there....so where are they?

AOL & Excite/@Home by process of elimination.

Either one, all or a combination of the 3.

Excite complicates it tremendously, because they have are the provider of Search for AOL, they ~2 years ago bought AOL's WebCrawler, and if I remember AOL got some stock there was money exchanged and Excite bought exclusive Time. Then Intuit got a chunk of Excite, Excite got 40 Million...Intuit got 7 years. Intuit then did a deal with with AOL last year, paid 30 Million, got content and exclusive time. Now you have Excite getting absorbed by @Home.

Following this?

Now Intuit is content and service provider accross both networks, and my friends if Excite is absorbed by @HOME 3 Networks....and my friends if you were ever going to get e-bills on those Networks...you've got obsticles and cross alliances and cross ownership and basically a good Ole Fashion Michigan Clusterfick.

See if Yahoo isn't a problem...where would/could these two bump heads if they were gonna bump them. On those Networks..like a VW Beatle full of College Kids.

MO...gotta catch some supper..

>>>Paul: I think the CKFR press release adds a lot of weight to your speculation that INTU is honked off about the Billserv deal.

My take on Billserv.com CheckFree Alliance released today.

>>>Great news for BLLS, not a good day for CKFR though. On the Yahoo boards of CKFR, there is talk about lawsuit by Intuit being a direct result of the BLLS agreement. They are concerned that BLLS will take the small to med business from Intuit. If this is the case then our little BLLS is starting to ruffle the feathers of the big boys.

No the Intuit thing has to do with Distribution Channels around the Net....not Distributors like Billserv.com. That a pissing match over the MailBoxes, not the Mailman. This agreement today allows Billserv.com to generate a small/medium sized billers bill and then 'push' it to CheckFree to distribute the e-Bill to the customer through various distribution outlets/mailboxes.

CheckFree is building the largest set of Mailboxes on Earth, but there is Big money here...and interests collide, especially as fast as this net thing comes on. In any event BillServ.com has Mailboxes now....and the plan is to partner with other distributors then CheckFree for delivery...not just. So it should not concern this Stock what goes on between CKFR & INTU.

This One agreement then, effectively makes them an enterprise which is gonna Hunt in this EBBP game...MO. Buy 100 shares for everyone of your kids..and when they get married and move out on there own...give it to them. Being under the CheckFree Umbrella, is extremely good/strong for this startup.

Now that they can deliver the mail...they need some customers. ie kinda hard to get a customers' mail business and have NO place to send it. That Part is over...behind them. And they forged an alliance with the biggest in this business.
