Cows are never he, always she. Male cattle are bulls, or steers.


The message therefore is plain. The "if" clause is always negative. Doesn't matter whether the cow is alive or dead. Their life is not meaningful. That's all he said! No metaphysics, no mystery. Just a simple logical consequence.
