Anything is a possibility. With INTC's almost $200B mkt cap, they could buy five of the premium comm IC players and spend only 5% of their capitalization. However, it is highly unlikely. Quite frankly, I'm not sure INTC brings anything to PMC's table. That sounds like an incredible statement, but its seems true. Can INTC help get them more business at CSCO, LU, NT, TLAB etc.? I don't think so.

The only area that might be of assistance is the GE space. Yet, from what I hear in the industry, PMC is doing quite well on their own -thank you - and GalNet II is lagging. TI isn't even on the map.

So - yes, its possible. But again - highly unlikely.
