Jerry, it sounds like you aren't convinced by today's market action either. If so, I'm inclined to agree. Volume remains well below January levels and, though it improved a bit late in the day, breadth wasn't anything to get excited about either. The IBM and DELL reactions to their news was overblown this morning and didn't stick. Transports didn't participate at all. Anything could happen, depending (IMO) primarily on what happens to interest rates (bonds, that is - the Fed won't be raising rates soon without clear signs of inflation).

Anyway, if the market is vulnerable, brokers like EGRP are especially so.

PS: Do we know if all the reports of 25% higher trading volumes have taken into account the drop-off in market volume since January of at least 10%? For the last 4 weeks, NYSE volume has actually been running at levels on par with the last 2 1/2 months of '98.
