Benny, who is this guy? Is he the guy who just announced that he was going to run for Pres. for a third time? No, that is Pat Buchanan.

Benny--

Let's not forget our friendly analyst-cum-media-translator, Gary Crafty. ("Hi Gary, this is John Dough from the "I'm too busy to do my Homework" Newswire. We're having a little trouble understanding today's press release, and we're on a tight deadline...Mind explaining it in a way our readers can understand?")

Way to go, Mr. Monkey Wrench...

RK

The last time an analyst whacked a stock I own (see Dell/Dan Niles), I went and did a little web-surfing to learn what I could about that person. I found quite a bit on Dan Niles (seems to be a decent analyst, much to my chagrin) and so I went searching for Patrick Burton. Looks like he also covers CKFR, Ceridian, EDS, and FundTech.

Here are links to a bunch of the articles:

In Dec '98, Burton had some pretty negative comments in regards to the resignation of an EDS vice chairman. Indicated that he thought this would hurt the company in 1999. Then, in Feb '99, he turns around and upgrades them to a buy due to strength of newly hired executive. Looking at an EDS 3-month chart, looks like his negative comments were made at the low and his upgrade was made at the time of their most recent high.

Some interesting quotes from Burton, especially the '96 CheckFree article and the SI post last year from Ron Perlman to Tom.

Enjoy...
