Glenn -- the wonder of a stock that is not traded on fundamentals is that there is nothing to stop it from being swept along with whatever madness grips the crowd that carries it on its shoulders. I still see bankruptcy for AMZN, but as for trading, it is more psychic phenomenon than stock -- all sizzle, no steak -- and tech analysis is not much help either because, aside from a few like Mark, most of the crowd just buys when they hear the others grunting and beating sticks on the ground<G>. It was a quiet day.

The competition just keeps getting more and more interesting. How much free stuff do I have time to bother with today? And the competition has just started to wake up. Wait until after the Y2K thing is out of the way - then we will START to see some real competition on the Internet. With the recognition of increased competition, nutty valuations like Amazon's will likely become a thing of the past. It will be interesting to look back two years from now and recall how crazy the Internet mania had become.
