Sarmad -- <I don't know what will move amzn to 140 other than good earnings.> Don't let Glenn hear you talk like that <G>. The answer is, ta da, momentum -- that is all there is to this stock. And as for today -- a good market? Nah -- just a nervous market, with a little fear of being left out if the market actually moves one way or the other. We have been in directionless trading -- bumping up and down around the 'tech sucks' theme. A breakout in bonds tomorrow in the face of 'not bad enough news' may be the push we need to actually have a direction -- and it will carry AMZN along with it.

Why do you think it ran down today despite a strong market ?

Analysts are currently on both sides of the fence. Some believe that introduction of rebate program part of previously announced increase in promotional spending.
