Yeah I got into a discussion with someone on the Dell thread about this. Hes an idiot though. Anyway, the problem with shipping right now is that the shippers employ this business model where they bid for a vendor's entire business, so once they get that business there is no competition going forward. You can change shippers but its costly to your business, most won't do it. This worked fine for a long time but now with sqeezing margins shipping is just too much $$ and there needs to be some realtime competition between shippers by lot. Some vendors are just starting to force shippers into this model. So, although shipping and movement of goods is booming, it is not going to be the cash cow that it was in the past, fwiw.
