The bulk of the PC sales are corporate. That means mostly Dell and Compaq and we already know those numbers. As well, it is likely that hardware is taking a back seat to Y2K at least for the 1st half of '99. Also, unless you believe there is a HUGE move away from retail and into other channels, then retail sales can still serve as a proxy for the general trend.
