When you look at HP and HP Instruments.....

They seem to be dividing the company with the instrument part being valued at 7.5 billion. They plan to do an IPO and offer 15% of the stock in the new instrument company to the public in the Fall.

Clearly they would have to use the money coming from the sale of this company to buy Novell. Trying to simultaneously spin-off, IPO, and acquire, and using the money from one to pay for the other looks a little too tricky to me. Maybe its all in a mornings breakfast meeting in Silicon valley.

I found this on YAHOO Board RE: NOVL Meeting

This was written on the Yahoo board by Phil from Salt Lake City, UT,
Notice where he is from, Salt Lake, where NOVL has its headquarters.
This guy probably does have friends at NOVL.

His Post, word for word, reads:

"Just spoke to a NOVL employee! HP rumor is HUGE
