shopping for bulk items like paper and office supplies, canned goods, etc. The third category is where Amzn is heading. I don't know why this is so hard for people to "get." It is

I do not get this. bulky and heavy items are the most costly and in-
efficient for e-commerce unless they are high margin and non-commodity items. I order(via the net) selected seafood items regularly now but I do "pay" for them; they are expensive.

Eugene,

>> Now if we could get a good entry point, the decision would be easy.

There are 160 million shares of amzn.

90 million of these shares are held by people who just issued the shares to themselves out of pure self-admiration. They didn't pay for them.

Another 30 Million were acquired at about $2 or $3 per share. Don't you think they are trickling into the market ?

Each day, officers of amzn sell thousands of shares that they get for nothing into the market.

This latest drop (in its third day) is on 9 Million shares per day. The previous was on 4 Million/day. I think a lot more shares are finding their way into the market.

Today you said perhaps amzn sold off because of msft entering the shopping arena. Is Microsoft accustomed to losing ? Do they shrink from price wars ?

What do you think the effect of failing to increase revenue in Q1 will do to the price of the stock ? If the spin on this news goes the wrong way, you might get a good entry price tomorrow.
