As far as I know, as an engineer in communication R&D area, BRCM has best modulation/demodulation technology, which can provide relatively reliable two-way communication over the cable or any other media, while Digicom and Cube has MPEG or digital video/audio technology which is mainly for one-way communication. That is why GI and SA, the big cable companies like to use BRCM's chip for set-top box. Two-way broadband communication over the cable is a future, it requires cable modem. BRCM is a leader. It will remain leading position for at least two years, I believe, before any other competitors catching up. For long term investor, it is an opportunity if BRCM's price continue goes lower. Daniel
