7th Street.com to enter pact with AOL-BusinessWeek

NEW YORK, March 4 (Reuters) - 7thStreet.com (Nasdaq:SEVL - news) is planning
to announce a pact with America Online
Inc. (NYSE:AOL - news), BusinessWeek said in its Inside Wall Street column in the
March 15 issue.

7thStreet's Tutorials.com will become an ''anchor tenant'' in AOL's Computing and
Workplace Channels, the article said.

Officials at 7thStreet and AOL were not available to comment on the article.

7thStreet shares closed near its 52-week low at 2-3/4, unchanged, in Nasdaq Stock
Market trade Thursday. The stock's 52-week high is 12-5/8, and 52-week low is
1-1/4.

It will offer AOL users more than 200 courses on business applications including
Microsoft Office 95, as well as programming, networking and Web use, the article said.

In addition, the article said that other major Net and technology companies are
due to sign pacts with 7thStreet, including a blue-chip tech giant, a leading
computer maker, and several Net service providers.

No, but from time to time people think I am one--even the real lawyers--when the topics of copyright, slander, liable come up. This is because I know more about the law on a few, key points than most people out of necessity rather than some quirkish interest in the law. This is because I am owner of a listserv list and have been since the Bitnet days [pre-internet]. To keep subscribers (who make the postings), my university (home of the list), and myself (as owner) out of legal trouble, it was important to know certain thing.

Not that often, but occasionally I do have to get a subscriber out of "hot water" (threat of a suit). So far, all have been for copyright violations with news services.

Lynn
