Mayo - good question. We view SI as a conglomeration of "new media" outlets and the various threads as separate outlets. As such we post our Press Releases - the same ones that go out to the wire services (Dow Jones, Business Wire, etc.) - to the threads that we believe may be interested in the "release". We also err on the side of more disclosure not less, under the theory that more information, properly disclosed, is a healthy tonic for free markets. We can accept that reasonable people may disagree with our editorial judgement, vis-a-vis the threads we select for posting, but this is at least the rational we apply when deciding, which after all is what you asked about.
