You are missing alot. Disneyland isn't that big. Disneyland doesn't gross that much. In SoCal, it is not the middle of winter (highs in the 70s) and there are only two Disney hotels with 2-3 pools each.

Were you thinking of DisneyWorld instead?

The Disneyland Hotel pool area is completely torn up as it is being transformed into the new "Neverland" pool area. It will be include several tropical-themed pools, a couple restraunts and a float ride. The artist sketches look really nice and I'm sure that when it is finished it will really add to the resort feel of this (fairly old) hotel.

The lack of construction work is actually more pervasive than the pool area (although I see 2 people in hardhats down there today). It also extends to Disney's "The California Experience" construction site. T.C.E. will be another big theme park right next to Disneyland. It was also deserted yesterday around 3:30 when we travelled to the park. The artist sketches of T.C.E. look very promising with a mini Golden Gate bridge, Hollywood sound stages, a big wooden roller coaster and ferris wheel, a resort hotel, and more. A great reason to hold DIS long term - assuming that they are actually working on completing it! ;-)

Again, I am no construction site expert, but as a shareholder I hope that someone is making sure that these projects progress as quickly as possible.

I'm putting a picture of the Pool construction area up on coolhistory.com. It should be up in 5-10 minutes.
