Maidenhead, Berkshire -- Newbridge Networks (NYSe:NN; TSE:NNC) today announced it will be showing its new range of fully managed multiservice, multi-access. broadband asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) and Internet protocol solutions at CeBIT '99. The solutions include a carrier class, fully managed multiservice network architecture to deliver cost-effective business solutions for both the enterprise and carrier customers.

Newbridge will highlight the following products at CeBIT '99 through product demonstrations and customer references:

Network and Service Management The Siemens/Newbridge MainStreetXpress family of network and service management products provide scalable, end-to-end management of multiservice networks in both service provider and enterprise applications. Scalable, service network management, web-based service management and end-to-end management of business class Internet Protocol (IP) virtual private networks (VPNs) will be just some of the highlights shown at CeBIT.

The Broadband Evolution The industry's leading multiservice, multi-access ATM platform will also be shown at CeBIT. With its broad range of interfaces and service offerings, including native cell relay, frame relay, advanced private line, local area network (LAN) internetworking, IP, digital subscriber line (xDSL) and broadband wireless, this scalable, broadband ATM platform delivers a flexible network infrastructure over a single unifying platform.

Multi-Access Newbridge will demonstrate its cost-effective, broadband connectivity to branch offices, managed xDSL solutions and the offering of premium business IP-VPNs. In addition, Newbridge will demonstrate its managed SDSL access solution for the first time in Europe. The solution provides flexible, cost-effective access for established and new generation service providers and is based on the MainStreetXpress 36170 Multiservice Switch.

Advanced Voice Solutions Newbridge will demonstrate integrated voice services on the multiservice platform for both service providers and enterprise customers. Highlights of the advanced Newbridge voice solutions demonstration will include comprehensive support of voice over IP, voice over frame relay (VoFR), and voice over ATM technologies with service interworking between each technology, Voice VPNs, advanced intelligent network functions from a broadband platform and dynamic network call routing based on interpretation of Q.Sig and other signalling protocols.
