NEW YORK, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Rare Medium Group Inc. RRRR , raremedium.com, a leading provider of Internet and E-commerce business solutions, today announced its role in developing the debut of Microsoft's first online store, shop.microsoft.com, which provides one central source for all Microsoft products, from hardware to software and Microsoft Press, mspress.microsoft.com, (also developed by Rare Medium) titles. Rare Medium worked with Microsoft in the development of the store, as a showcase for Microsoft's electronic-commerce platform, which utilizes a range of technologies that include the Windows NT Server operating system, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0, Commerce Server, Site Server and Internet Information Server.
