There are obvious reasons that could explain the selloff. I think the lockup period ending was only adding fuel to the fire. DRIV moved very fast and got punished like so many internet-related companies when the bond yield's rise caused investors to oversell the market. On top of this, we have had nothing in the way of significant news. The teaser was tossed out by DRIV's Ronning about connecting with a boxmaker. So far nothing, and noone is even utterring DRIV's name in the same sentence with a boxmaker but Ronning himself. If it is going to happen, I hope it happens soon. Also, GTW and CPQ and others have aligned themselves with e-commerce companies. It does not mean that DRIV is out, it just looks to me like several want to wait for ESD to catch on some more before aligning with this newbie. Imagine the mistake of signing on DRIV now and we flop while someone like chumbo.com or beyond.com do very well. Then the boxmaker is stuck with a potential dud. Not that it would happen, but I am beginning to think the boxmakers won't play in ESD until it is more established. Meaning, not for a few more quarters or so.

Then, we see MSFT getting into the mix. Not a help. And we want to diversify so early in the ESD race.

We are well below our 50-day moving average, there is little interest in DRIV, outside of the table pounding by Scott Ehrens, and we have had no great news!

The slide will continue until DRIV gives us a reason, and wallstreet, to begin buying them again. The bond yield collapse thus far today will help:

BUT, the bulls are running elsewhere: quote.yahoo.com^DJI&d=t

JMHO.

With any luck DRIV will prove me wrong and announce a deal tomorrow with DELL.
