Lots of guessing when you get into why a stock was trending one way or another.

It would be interesting to hear from an industry insider whether a component maker tends to shift #1 customers annually or not. Maybe DELL was big last year, but GTW was planned to become #1 for 1999. No way to know unless the company comes out and tells us.

I am holding CPU and MXTR right now; not happy with hardware.

i think part of mxtr's poor performance prior to the ibm/dell news was because the whole sector was under pressure thanks to dell warning and then cpq talking about slower growth in the first part of this year.
