I track two portfolios, my long term and short term, pretty much large cap vs. small cap. The big guys are still winning. The small caps take a hit each time but never seem to recover as much, just move lower and lower.

OrionX,

Nasdaq got so far ahead of the Dow that this was overdue. Now NASDAQ Comp should peak just as we see 10000 or close to it on the Dow. Then the fireworks will start! The last few weeks was just a dress rehearsal!

I agree Orion, that the recent rally has tainted the market.
The Naz is not following properly and as the bonds wash out their rebound with the dow stretching 10K, the NAZ will lead the correction lower. The PAIRs and other beaten downs are not going up here.

The new Dow leaders should be good to play, and I keep a wathful eye on the drillers/oils area.

Mty feeling is the correction must complete with the usual rotation into inflationary cyclicals before the weak can be bought.
