Appreciated reading your post. The same could be said about Viragen which was 3/8. Hit a high today of 21/32. Could have gone either way. These are the thoughts that could give me one gray hair for every transaction. Been difficult to stay put sometimes, but best for my brown hair to stay brown!

HI MALCOLM,
It is always nice to read your words of wisdom. As far as
stocks are concerned,Kenny Rogers sort of sums it up
when he sings about "The Gambler" and card games. You
got to know when to hold, know when to fold, Know when
to walk away, and know when to run.
I apply this principle to my stock purchasing after doing my
due diligence, and decide at the time of purchase just how long
I intend to hold on. In Emersons case I have it on hold as long
as necessary because of the unusual circumstances. It has great
potential as far as I can see and the downside risk is minimal
compared to the possibility of it appreciating.
As far as The Oaktree offer,I'm sure even they realized that
it was way too low, considering what they were after. The equity
in GYM alone comes to over 19 million. The offer was reasonable
if it involved Emerson alone, but under the circumstances,if Oaktree
is really interested in gaining control, then they will have to sweeten
their offer somewhat.
Another scenario is that Grossman and Oaktree puts in a bid
for the shares that are set aside {settlement shares} if that is allowed,
and then purchase enough shares on the open market or make offer
to existing shareholders to gain controlling interest from another angle.
It's a crap shoot no matter which angle the situation is approached
from, but it keeps the heart stimulated.
Web site is no guarantee of success, but with its debut, lets hope
it starts things going for Emerson big time.
