Time to re-check the Israeli Hi-tech sector. I just received mail from some friends in Israel with whom I served in the army, 15 years ago. These fellas are now in their mid to late 30's .. Full page articles from Israeli magazine showing them now to be heavy millionaires (50 million+) from these upstart companies that I remember was just a whisper 5-10 years ago. I'm talking about a group of Israeli ex-officers who were fresh out of army with the best hi tech traiing in the world. They started companies like GILTF, ECILF, EFII, NICEY, DSLGF,ESCMF,ORBKF,TAD,EVNSF, etc. etc.. It's funny to see these 'youngsters' whom I taught English and how to read a diagram in English on how the tanks work, and how to 'touch type' in the computer unit, joked around while carrying our submachine guns on routine bus trips to check out security on the buses, are now the Michael Dells of Israel. Kol Hachavod Chevre!
