Hi BWAC,
A quick summary of the last 7 day's events here on SI.........

Some sold on the way to $17...... (I sold 13% of my position)

Some sold between $17 and $18-1/2....... (I sold an additional 4%)

Nobody wants to sell any more at $17.......

Some might sell more shares at $20.......

Many more will sell shares at $22......

Essentially all remaining holders would sell at $25 to $30......

Litigation costs Philips AND VLSI money........

Looks like if Philips wants to save the cost of "poison pill" items....

The price of litigation has to remain below what the cost of the "poison pill", or it's dumb to proceed with the suit......

Other US bidders are unlikely because of "poison pill"......

If Philips removes "poison pill" then other US Bidders can join the bidding for VLSI.....

To my way of thinking it looks like PHG would be smart to raise their bid to low to mid $ twenties and get it done FAST.

Best regards, Tom
