FWIW, CNBC talking head said there is a semi-conductor conference coming this weekend, or early next week? And most analysts still think there is a pick-up of the demand of chips, although today they start to talk about the lack-luster reaction to PTIII. And I think the later spells more trouble for pc stocks, especially intc and dell.

Samir,

>>doesnt intc own a bunch of mu that they plan on dumping soon?
didnt mu and other dram producers just increase capacity?
arent pc sales slowing down?<<

Stop trying to confuse people with real issues! Wall St. is trying to ramp the stock. This is not reality based investing.

Yep, Morgan Stanley is hosting the semiconductor tout-fest next week (Mon-Wed). I can't find the schedule on the net, but Maria teased that she will have it on CNBC's weekend report. This looks like the standard put-up job to me.

MU closed a week-old gap at 58 today; 55 might pretend to serve as resistance for a while; INTC *and* TXN have a lot of MU stock; MU earnings are due March 22 or so; MUEI's pre-announcement that they will not contribute as much to MU earnings this Q will probably prove to be the difference between MU going from having an arguably break-even into a very clearly losing quarter.
