Why not put MACD into the search box on the bottom of the screen, and search this thread. Also try the indicators and systems thread. I know MACD has been discussed many, many times before.

I am not trying to hassle you. Just share my own findings.

I read and read and tried out a bunch of things posted by others who have done this much longer than I. Sometimes I like what I saw, other times I didn't. My findings did not invalidate any good advice, but when interpreted through my own eyes, with my own goals, tolerance for risk, drawdowns, time span, etc - sometimes "good" advice failed "my" test.

Checking different approaches, formulae, etc is more a matter of mapping you against the tool/system than anything.

You've got a decent tool to check all this stuff out, just don't rely on any formulas I post...
