my question was: when you sell your calls, do you use any kind of TA to time
the right moment to sell them? Or do you just sell them without worrying about the chart
action?

Sorry, Joe, I thought the question was regarding rolling out.

When it is just a straight sell, I use some TA which consists of the Bollinger bands and RSI. This past month (Feb) after my DELL calls expired (Feb 20), I had to wait until this week (Mar 4) to make the next sell in order to get the swing in my favor. I also have a model that I developed that enables me to assess the various calls that are available to find the return that matches my target. However, it's at this point that it becomes more art then science. This month I'll just barely make my target because of the wait.

Hope that's a better response.
