"Running for the door" is a catch phrase shorts use to instill fear. It doesn't actually happen like that, because there are always new people coming in late and old people wanting to hold a portion or all long, "just to see what happens." So the picture of this mass exodus. . .makes a great scare tactic whenever a stock rises and shorts wish to re-gain control. . . but in reality, it doesn't happen. Worse case scenario. . .PRFM. . .it was supposed to go back to 2 where we bought it. It never did. Whenever it touches 4 it races back toward 6. Eventually, that will happen at increasingly higher numbers until all the shorts get bored or see diminishing returns and leave. But once a stock gets a major short attack, like TAVA, JBOH, PCNTF, IFLY, PRFM, IOM, NAVR, SATH, DBCC, etc. . . it never trades the same again. All the bounce seems taken out, and the trading range gets narrow. Where originally it doubled or tripled or more in a day or so, after the shorts have devalued it, many never do leave and the trading range is diminished to about 20 or 30 percent. It has NOTHING to do with whether or not the company is any good. TAVA is one of the best Y2K companies there is. . .with GM and the U.S. Army as some of it's clients. . . IOM has lost nearly all its competition and has made an enormous financial turnaround. . .it has virtually replaced the floppy disk with its zip drives. . .yet neither IOM or nor TAVA can see themselves out of single digits. . . no matter what news or deals are cut.
