You were talking about the possibility of a hostile takeover. As a "best case" I mentioned a 100% premium to the market price or around $7. My point was that even if that were to happen it wouldn't really bail out most underwater ABTX holders.

There is too much movement upwards in the large caps right now for investors to bother with small cap stocks (especially those with problems like ABTX). My small cap holdings are all doing nothing even though most have shown superior growth. For those with a long-term horizon, it is time to hold on and wait for the market to balance out. Small cap will come back eventually and the gains will be spectacular.
More specifically, the seed sector is in a major slump. Look at Monsanto. MTC is swirling in takeover rumors and has the fastest selling drug of all time and the stock price is going nowhere! The industry will come back and shine in the next few years but longs will have to be patient.
