Someone asked about a market read earlier...I'm just responding to the
latest post. Dow now at +220...it looks to me that it will sell off
within the next 15 to 20 minutes (first leg down) and again before the
close. Just an opinion :)

If a dentist sets up a new office and purchases all new equipment..
does he have to pay the manufacturer every time he drills a cavity?

Justifying VISX's business model...the answer should be yes...

But I don't think it works this way, and VISX is trying to establish a precedent that may be short lived.

If paying royalty's for medical equipment, like a dentists, is accepted practice, then you might have a point...I just don't think it works this way.
