Thanks for the concern, Gorak. That's exactly why I turned to my colleagues here on SI, BEFORE I placed a limit order on my short position. If I'd needed to get out of my short position in a hurry, I'd have just placed a market order, but I wasn't worried about having to do so, and the stock is not a fast mover. When I understood how the limit sell on a short position worked and placed my order, sure enough it shows up as a "cover buy".
