but really, this is my read and I just had to go the The Book just to be Sure...

O's start at 27 and go down to 19...

Below 20 the box size is 1/2...

Thus, 8 boxes 1 box value times 2 factor for going down = 16

then, 2 boxes 1/2 value below 20 times 2 factor = 2

2 + 16 = 18 subtracted from the highest O's in the count column...

Thus 27 - 18= 9

Thus you can see even My confussion as to actual PO...

However I believe this to be an accurate reflection of the calculations described on page 25 of Tom's book titled "Vertical count for short sale"

But then ...what do I know...
