The funny thing to me is that all DOW components were up big this morning like it was orchestrated. I know, it seems rather silly, but the volume sucked and 29 out of the 30 dow stocks were up huge. Kind of like a bait for the index watchers to hop on the bandwagon so they can unload crap on them. I see AOL, EGRP, and now INTC not participating in this huge 'rally'. They've got the crap bidded up to unload at a decent price (MU comes to mind).

Got to have some conviction to hold onto them puts today. Hell, am thinking of adding more.

LOL.....

Storm? In PCs? Maybe the wind is picking up already: from Brieifing, "Intel Corp. (INTC) 113 7/8 +1/2: --UPDATE-- shares on chip maker have come off their intraday high on fears that Pentium III chip sales are not reaching the levels initially expected; there is also a rumor that Compaq Computer will not accept any more Intel chips and will work off its current inventory....." Did you start that rumor? <g>

Earlie, good to see you posting again. I have a question for you as to todays action. I have been watching real time quotes on MU and SCH and the bids were higher then ask in some instances by over a $1. I thought that it was a problem with reporting but other quote sources showed the same. Are the specialist giving money away. Could you explain how this can happen. I have never seen something like this.

Also MU puts bid and ask were locked in at the same price without trades going through. What is going on with this? Is the "efficient market" falling apart?

Earlie,
Thanks for putting out another fine Tech Review.
MB,
Thanks for your fine synopsis.

Too bad no one in the tech sector or the stock market seems to care. Obviously we will never guess when this mania will end, but it will be bloody......
