Hi Greg, thx. I actually like healthy criticism. I'd be worried if the whole thread has only bulls - especially if the sentiments contradict reality. Yes, EMC, Veritas, Legato are the main players. Offhand, what are the patents MTIC held? Hardwares, I presume. Does it have software abilities like EMC to control heterogenuous hardwares.

<o.t.>People probably want to make a fishing expedition in the SAN area. COMS probably wants to stake a claim to it if it ever flies. SAN or no SAN, COMS has painted itself to the corner for awhile. My lo ball GTC is still in force, but I begin to wonder... The sale of the division to Siemen is not a good sign.

Two more patent payments from EMC, of $7 million each. In the first quarter of next year, and the first quarter of the year after that. That will make five in total, including the one just concluded for this year (actually it's technically two payments in the first quarter of each year, one for $5 million, and one for $2 million).
