There is no way this stock is being shorted!

Anyone in their right mind wanting to short a stock would find an overvalued stock with much more liquidity. Either this individual is an idiot (if, in fact it is being shorted) or he knows something we don't. Moreover, an individual/brokerage firm shorting a stock would make sure to keep a low profile. 10X average volume is not considered as being low profile. As mentioned earlier, if someone is shorting this stock, which I seriously doubt, there is VERY BAD news on the way.

Kind Regards
AK

The sell-off from DS is not due to shorting. DS does not allow shorting of VSE nor ASE stocks.
I understand March is year end for the national brokerage houses and I believe someone is being sold out.
Unfortunate, but this sort of thing happens.
Fortunate for us who can seize the opportunity and average down.
I too picked up some $1.90 stock this morning.

Edward, I have to agree with Akira re: the shorting. Did Michael tell you that he thought the stock was being shorted or did you hear it somewhere else? I just can't believe he said that. I'm not an expert on shorting but I did post this a couple thousand posts ago:

I'm so sorry I missed your cyber beer contest, - :) I won the last contest here <ggg>. I just checked in after a long absence. If you allow a late entry I'll predict that we will not hear of an order this size until next year. Dec 28/2000(My fortieth birthday!) The problem is that an order this size isn't going to deliver profits. Happy Investing.
