I think it most likely means that it has been proven to perform some particular task better than currently available technology. Perhaps it is the PCB drilling that they have talked about in the past.

Also, it sounded like there would be announcements of milestones achieved in the XRL program.

Hard to make out a lot of it as I kept getting "net congestion on the Real Audio player.
