Yes, I do believe that what is said here can impact the movement of the shares of a company. There have been many articles that discuss how fund managers review the discussion threads to find out information that they may not be aware of. One company (and I forget which one) actually have set up meetings with the regular members of one of the discussion threads to discuss the company. It was similar to an analyst meeting. After the meeting the discussion on the thread was much more enlightened, and the share value started to move as a result. People understood what was happening. The company credited these meetings and the power of the Internet discussion groups with the addition of the required market cap that they needed to fully implement their plans.

If you were serious about writing that book, then send me a precise (through the Private Mail system), and I will believe you.

>>P.S. FWIW I have now taken a position in BII<<

LOL Short position Doug?

Looking at the markets today we saw the DJIA +268 points; NASDAQ +44 points; and the TSE +146 points.

BII = Flat as the pancakes I had for breakfast this morning.

This isn't a good sign for a stock that is anticipated to make NASDAQ shortly. It makes more sense for buying to come in at these prices, but it almost appears as if nobody cares anymore. And I think the argument that people are taking a "wait-and-see" approach is also wearing a bit thin.

Even with good financials and other related news, I believe any impact they may have is already built into the share price. Probably unrealistic to expect a $7.50 stock and a National Market listing on that basis alone. BII may make the small cap, but even if it does, I am beginning to question the $20 U.S./share target I threw around not too long ago.
