I agree, Gary. Joe loves to call a spade a spade. So do David Faber and Mark Haynes. Not to ignore Ted David and Ron Insana, who have done good things in interviews this week.

It's this core group of people who keep me tuned to CNBC instead of CnnFinancial or FoxFinancial. CNBC gets heaps of criticism, some of it deservedly so, but they deserve credit also for their frequent good performances.

Joe Kernan is the only one on CNBC who knows what he's talking about and raises an eyebrow at the hype.I loved what he said today about "these guys are going to be wrong again".

All the CNBC bears sure switched sides today. The market volatility would vanish if CNBC left the air - It's not the Internet stocks causing it IMO. But, unfortunately we need the coverage - but not the ratings wooing hype.

I enjoyed the fact today that we hit 9700 and they could not even report it live - Clinton was on :)
